He was born in Peoria and raised in Manhattan. He was a 1968 graduate of Lincoln-Way High School and was a member of the Teamsters Local 179, driving for Allied Landscaping for a number of years. He had a passion his entire life for racing and cars. If it had wheels, he loved it.
Mr. Dunivant is survived by his wife, Linda Kirby Dunivant; a daughter, Sarah (Alan) Castaneda of New Lenox; two step-daughters, Bobbie Sue Martinez of Posen and Amanda Lorance of Manhattan; two step-sons, Charlie Lorance III of Chicago and Larry Shanks Jr. of Nebraska; a grandson, Anthony; six granddaughters, Amaranta, Briana, Isabel, Audrey, Alyssa and Alexis; a brother, George (Cheryl) of Florida; a sister, Debbie (Jay) Chandler of New Lenox; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and June Dunivant.
Visitation 2 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, August 8, at Forsythe Funeral Home. Services 10 a.m. Thursday, August 9, at the funeral home.
Burial in Manhattan Center Cemetery.
