Mr. Daniel Head Love, 33, died Wednesday, May 4, 1988, at Danforth Memorial Hospital Emergency Room, in Texas City.

Born April 8, 1955, in Orange, Texas, Mr. Love was a welder, he was a member of Greater Bell Zion Baptist Church where he was a member of the young adult choir. He was a 1974 graduate of Ball High School. He also attended College of the Mainland and graduated from BTS School of Welding. He was an accomplished boxer and in 1974 he received the Golden Glove championship award.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda J. Love of Galveston; three daughters, Danyette L. Love, La Wanda L. Love and Brittni L. Love, all of Galveston; six sisters, Joyce Powell and Hazel Earner, both of Orange, Texas, Betty Tate of Houston, Ada Love and Jeanette Cora, both of Galveston, and Ida Poulard of La Marque; four brothers, Calvin Johnson of Orange, Clisby Love of La Marque and Daivd Love and James Love, both of Galveston; five stepsisters; two stepbrothers; one great-aunt, Mrs. Leola Spikes of Orange; one aunt, Geralding Brown of Oakland, Calif.; one uncle, Andrew Johnson of Beaumont; three devoted friends, Ralph Brooks, Lev Rice and Hubert Chachere, all of Galveston; six brothers-in-law; five sisters-in-law; his mother-in-law, Mrs. Mattie Washington of Galveston; three godchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Pallbearers will be Lev Rice, Hubert Chachere, Wilson Pomier, Glen Williams, Michael Washington and Ralph Brooks. Honorary pallbearers will be George Blue Jr., Charles Wade, E. Feast, John Lundy and Sam Green.
