Burgaw, March 18 -- Miss Maude Smith of the Long Creek community of Pender county, died in a Raleigh hospital early Sunday after a long illness.
Funeral services will be announced later by the Quinn-McGowan Funeral Home here.

Burgaw, March 19 -- Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Maude Smith will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Burgaw Cemetery by the Rev. M. G. Stimpson and P. L. Clark.
She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Katie A. Smith, Rocky Point, two sisters, Miss Mamie Smith of the home and Mrs. James Tompkins of Rocky Point and a brother, James A. Smith of the home.
