Harry N. Wade Jr., 79, of Vienna, died June 6, 2013, at his home.

He was born April 22, 1934, in Wood County, to the late Harry N. Sr. and Blanche (Naylor) Wade.

Harry served in the U.S. military from 1954-1956. He retired from G.E. as a chemical operator. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors, but most of all, vacationing with his wife, Helen.

He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Helen Casto Wade; two sons, Russell Wade of Buck Run, W.Va., and Kenneth Wade of Mineral Wells, W.Va.; one grandchild; two brothers, Carl Wade of Rockport, W.Va., and James Wade of Parkersburg; and two sisters, Mildred Peters of Lowell, Ind., and Margaret Moss of Virginia.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Walter Wade; and three sisters, Ruth Howe, Helen Abels and Ruby Naylor.

Memorial contributions in Harry's name may be made to the Parkersburg Humane Society.

The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with the Rev. Norman Butler officiating. Burial will follow the service at Naylor Cemetery. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service Monday from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
