Funeral services for Augustine Robertson Kennon of Trout will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 12, 2013 in the Midway Pentecostal Church with Revs. Shorty Mayo and Kevin Manuel officiating. Interment will follow in the Belah Cemetery in Trout, under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Jena. Friends may call from 5 until 9pm on Tuesday June 11, 2013 and from 8 until 12noon on Wednesday at the funeral home and from 12pm until time for services at the church on Wednesday.
Mrs. Kennon, 96, was born on August 20, 1916 in Harrisonburg to the union of John James and Mollie Ellen Wells Robertson and passed from this life on Sunday, June 9, 2013 at LaSalle Nursing Home in Jena.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her, daughter, Margie Kennon Tourea of Mesquite, Nevada.; Sons, Elmer Allen Kennon of Montrose, Colorada, Gary Glen Kennon and Ellis Wayne Kennon both of Belah and Tony Lyn Kennon of Houston, Texas.; Eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Darius Kennon.
Pallbearers will be, Christopher Kennon, Joseph Kennon, Randy Kennon, Larry Kennon,
