Calvin A. McGregor
Calvin A. McGregor 82, died at his home here Friday night. He was the son of Duncan and Rachel McGregor born on December 10, 1880 near Brookfield, Missouri. He attended Brookfield College and taught school as well as farmed in his early life. He had been a faithful member of the Methodist church since early childhood.
On December 28, 1902 he was united in marriage to Mabel Ida Vorce. To this union six children were born, Five of whom are still living, a son and four daughters, one son, Kenneth having died in infancy.
Those surviving are his wife Mabel of the home, Mr. Gerald E. McGregor of Brookfield, Missouri; Mrs. Evelyn Fisher of Springfield, Missouri; Mrs. Mildred Moore of Urbana, Missouri; Mrs. Gertrude Bates of Lansing, Kansas and Mrs. Le Ella Cook of Kansas, Illinois.
He had eighteen grandchildren and twenty five great grandchildren besides numerous neieces and nephews.
Funeral Services were held Monday, Feruary 18, 1963 at 9:30 a.m. at the Urbana Methodist Church with Rev. E. E. Templeton officiating with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery in Brookfield, Missouri under the direction of the Vaughan Funeral Home of Urbana, Missouri.
