Sarah married husband #2, RH Parks, a physician considerably older than she was - before the 1870 census [they're already married]. According to cemetery headstone record, a Sarah Smith was b. 4 Mar 1821; d. 27 Mar 1883. It's believed this is Sarah Powell Smith, He died in 1877 and is buried in cem. by first wife.
Sarah resumed her SMITH name after death of 2nd husband. She's not found in 1880 Census as living in Iredell or [possibly] Davie County, NC. Sarah Powell Smith was buried as Sarah Smith in Powell Family Cemetery next to her husband Zimrie - as shown on the cemetery sheet..

Cemetery information was obtain from a book written by Mildred J. Miller and Pat M. Crooks, Time Is, Time Was: Gravestone Art, Burial Customs and History: Iredell County, North Carolina (1990)." and indicate they did the original survey of this cemetery. Cemetery was termed about 2000 in Iredell County Cemetery Books as being 'Lost-Abandoned'. Thanks to Larry Campbell for cemetery for re-discovering in June 2014!
