Elsie Cook, age 92, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2013.
Elsie is survived by her niece, Kathy Kelleaers and her husband, Steve of Farmington, NM, nephews, Robert Leese and his wife, Jane of Pasadena, CA, James Leese and his wife, Michele of Fort Myers, FL and Mark Leese and his wife, Joanz of Denver, CO, great-niece, Tamara Morgan, numerous nieces and nephews, step-daughters, Carleen Kochanski and Billy Felicetti and friends, David and Reid Olson and Anna Gutierrez.
Elsie was preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Col. Carl L. Cook, by her husband, Nelson Harris, son, Scott Harris, daughter, Holly Harris, parents, Walter and Mittie Coplen, sister, Lois Leese and brother, Frank Coplen.
Elsie was a member of the Junior League of Albuquerque and a member of Immanuel Presbyterian Church.
Elsie graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1939 and attended the University of New Mexico as a member of the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority.
Elsie was a stewardess for Continental and was married to Nelson Harris in 1945 until his passing in 1985. Elsie was then married to Lt. Col. Carl L. Cook in 1996 until his passing in 2011.
Elsie was always impeccably dressed and served as an inspiration to her family and friends with her optimism and refinement. Many have voiced the sentiments of how she will be missed.
