Charles C. Burrell
SALONA--Charles C. Burrell, 88, a retired farmer of Nittany Valley, died Easter Sunday at 10:40 a.m. at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Joseph O. Smith.
Mr. Burrell had been blind ten years. His final illness had extended over two years, and he had been bedfast 18 months.
A son of Samuel and Charlotte Snyder Burrell, he had lived in this area nearly all his life, and farmed until his retirement 29 years ago. He was born here Jan. 10, 1868.
He was a member of the Methodist Church, the P.S.S. of A. of Salona, the I.O.O.F. lodge in Lock Haven, and the Woodmen of the World.
In addition to his daughter, he leaves two grandchildren, one great grandson, a brother, S. Clyde Burrell, former county commissioner, and a sister, Miss Annie Burrell, Salona. R.D.
BURRELL--Services will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the McCloskey Funeral Home in Mill Hall for Charles C. Burrell, 88, of Salona, who died Sunday, April 1, 1956, at 10:40 a.m. at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Joseph O. Smith. The Rev. Henry S. Miller will officiate. Interment, Cedar Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
