Jeanette Cunagin Ponder was born June 1, 1930 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the first of seven children of the late Herbert and Bennie Tussey Cunagin. She was united in marriage to Clifford Robert Ponder, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her son, Robert David Ponder, MD and wife Kelly, of Marco Island, Florida; three grandchildren, Robert and wife Kathryn of Colonial Beach, Virginia; William of Page, Arizona; and Maria of Maryville, Tennessee; two brothers, Dan and Jim Cunagin of Louisville, Kentucky plus a host of family and friends to mourn her passing. In addition to her parents and husband she is also preceded in death by four siblings, Deloris, Herbert, Isaac and Bobbie.
Jeanette was retired from Emerson Electric as personnel manager. She enjoyed her family, flower gardening and golf. She loved Jesus and was a member of First Baptist Church of London, Kentucky. She departed this life after a long and courageous battle with dementia on Saturday, December 26, 2020 being 90 years old. She spread love, encouragement and cheer to all, even in her limited final state.
Due to multiple family members with health issues, funeral services will be limited to a private graveside service at A. R. Dyche Memorial Park, London, Kentucky.
