John Anderson, 91, of Temple, died Sunday, June 23, 2013, in a Temple hospital. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, June 27, 2013, at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple. Interment will be at 10 a.m., Friday, June 28, 2013, in Live Oak Cemetery in Uhland. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.

John was born in Natchitoches, Louisiana, and was raised in Midfield. He served his country as an U.S. Army Air Corps pilot in World War II and the Korean War. He married Billie Nell Roberts on May 1, 1943.

John was a successful business owner, general contractor, land developer and rancher. His greatest joy was in the years spent serving God in Lay Witness Missions. He was also a teacher of the Word of God.

Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Billie Nell; three children; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous friends. X3
