She is believed to have died on board ship from Liverpool England and buried in Halifax NS Canada in 1866. However her name, along with that of her husband is on a gravestone in Uniondale Cemetery, Pittsburgh, PA. The cemetery has no record of her burial in the grave. It should be noted that there was an outbreak of cholera in 1866 aboard the SS England, resulting in the ship being diverted to Halifax, NS. A search of this ship's manifest, however, did not show an Elizabeth Jenkins.

They had one son William Jenkins, born in Wales, died in Pittsburgh, in addition to the listed daughters.
