Robert Jones, 45, of Rivesville died Saturday June 20, 1987 at WVU Hospital. He was born February 24, 1942 in Hanover Township, Pa, son of Ellen B. Jones and the late Herbert Jones. In addition to his mother, he is survived by two ex-wives, Judy Haught Jones, and Patricia Anderson Jones, three sons Destry Jones of Leesburg, VA, Doug Jones of Sarasota, Florida, and Derrick Jones of Millersville, one daughter Derice Jones of Forest Park, Georgia, one step son, Mike Anderson of Fairmont, two stepdaughters, Debby and Bridget Bielak both of Fairmont, two brothers, James Dale Jones of Wadestown, and Ronny Lee Jones of Wadestown, two sisters, Patricia Mitchell of Fairmont and Betty Subit of St. Clarksville, Ohio, and three grandchildren. One son Daryl Jones and one sister, Charlotte Jones are deceased. Mr. Jones was a correctional officer at the Kennedy Youth Center in Morgantown for nine years and a member of the VFW post in Morgantown. He was active in the Cross Roads Baptist Church and served in the U. S. Army over seven years. Friends may call at the DeGarmo Funeral Home in Rivesville Sunday from 3-9 P.M. and Monday at 1 P.M. Services to be held at the funeral home Monday at 1 P.M. with the Rev. Paul Fortney officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, where the Marion County Military Veterans Council will conduct flag-folding ceremonies at grave side. (clipping Sylvia Sine Whittaker)
