Rowdy was the faithful friend/companion to my father when he was growing up. When dad was 3 his father bought him a puppy. Because the puppy was always getting into things dad named him Rowdy.
They grew up together and had many adventures. One favorite memory dad has is the time my mom (dad's sweetheart/girlfriend at the time) was chewing a piece of bubble gum. She blew a bubble and Rowdy snatched the gum from her. Dad says the look on her face was priceless. :o)
Rowdy was 18 when he passed away and dad was 21. He still misses his old pal and has many fond memories of him.
