Obituary—Draves.
The funeral of Mrs. Caroline Draves, who died at her home north of this village, on Monday, Feb. 20th, took place from the St. Anthony of Padua church on Thursday morning. Many neighbors and old friends were present at the last sad rites of this kind old German lady, aged 75 years, who followed her husband to the great beyond within a month. Andrew Draves, Sr., aged 82 years, died on Jan. 7th. Mr. and Mrs. Draves were a modest, thirfty old couple, attached to the domestic comforts of their home fireside and the care of their propsperous little farm, content with their corner of the great world, happy in the love of their children and the esteem of friends, who knew only good of their placid, serene lives. United in death, as in a long, happy, useful lifetime, may their souls rest in eternal peace. Eight children survive the aged parents, they are Mrs. August Fleming of Highland, Mrs, Austena Roschaw of Pulaski, Mrs. Yeta Johns of Gotham, John, Charles and Henry Draves of Montfort and Andrew of Highland. The community extends to them its sincerest sympathy in their bereavement.—Highland cor. in Chronicle.
