Thurman "Terry" Absten, 79, of Grove City, died Wednesday, June 26, 2013. He was born September 2, 1933 in Capehart, WV to the late Thurman and Sylvia (Warner) Absten. He was a graduate of South High School and a veteran of the U.S. Navy Reserves. He retired from AT&T and was a member of the BPOE #37 and a former member of the Oakhurst Country Club. He enjoyed his grandkids and golf. He is preceded in death by siblings Paul and Betty. Terry is survived by Irene, his loving wife of 35 years; children, Gregory (Lisa) Absten, Mike (Becca) Absten, Jack (Cindy) Hamilton, William C. Hamilton and Dan (Lisa) Hamilton; grandchildren, Eric, Nicole Hancock, Emily, Sarah, Jessica, Anya Kimmel, Alex, Sean, Lauren, Claire, David, Lindsay and Dereck; great granddaughter, Alexis. Family will receive friends Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, where a funeral service will be held Monday at 10 a.m.
