FLACH, George, President of the Richland Foundry Company Belleville, Ill, was born in Belleville in 1856. His father Nicholas Flach was a native of Germany and a tailor by occupation. Mr Flach has been engaged in the foundry business for thirty eight years. In October 1881 he was married to Catherine Fischer. He and his wife have four children namely Nick, Dora, Maggie and Joseph.

George Flach was the son of Nicholas Flach and Elizabeth Amelung (they married 9 Apr 1855). His mother died on 2 Jul 1857 and Nicholas married (2) Mary Eva Meyer on 20 May 1860 when George was only 4 yeas old.

George married Katharina Fischer on 30 Oct 1877 in St. Louis City, Missouri.

Funeral for George Flach.
Funeral services for George Flach, 84-year-old Belleville molder, who fought with the Seventh United States Infantry in the wars against the Sioux and Dakota Indians, were held today at the Renner-Geminn-Bergman undertaking establishment in Belleville, with burial in Mount Hope Cemetery. Mr. Flach died of heart disease Monday at Alexian Brothers' Hospital. Two sons and two brothers survive.
