Services for Marie Lerew, 87, Cresbard, will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec 28 at the United Methodist Church here with the Rev. Dana Hauck officiating. Burial will be in Cresbard Cemetery.
Mrs. Lerew died Thursday, Dec. 24 at Prairie View Samaritan Home in Miller.
Marie Price was born on her parents' homestead in Emerson Township, Faulk County, Oct 8 1894. Her family moved in 1903 to Aberdeen, where she attended NNI grade school and Central High School. She was married to Bert Lerew on Dec. 23, 1919 in Edmunds County and they moved to Faulk County. In 1963 she moved to Miller to live with a daughter and in 1970 they moved to Gillette, Wyo. She had been a resident of Prairie View since October of this year.
Survivors include four sons, Orville, Ted and Vernon, all of Faulkton, and Wilbur, of Miller; four daughters, Jane Lerew, Sioux Falls, LaVerne Barton, Aberdeen, Mrs. Frank (Rose) Maurer, Orient, and Edna Mae Lerew, Gillette, Wyoming; one sister, Olive Price, St. Petersburg, Fla., 26 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Her husband, two children, three brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
The Langslet Funeral Home of Faulkton is in charge of arrangements.
