Celestine "Sally" A. Mattos De Ponte, 85, of Hilo, she passed away on Monday, December 3, 2012 at Hilo Medical Center. She was born on April 6, 1927 in Hilo; she was a retired Community Service Worker for the County of Hawaii and also a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo. Friends may call Sunday, December 16, 2012 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel, Visitation from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.; Wake service at 6 p.m. Friends may call again on Monday, December 17, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo, Visitation from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.; Mass at 10 a.m. Casual attire; flowers welcomed; burial to follow at Alae Cemetery at 11 a.m. She is survived by sons, Donald (Victoria) Mattos of Kau, George De Ponte and Kenneth (Florence) De Ponte of Hilo; brother, Frank Andrade Mattos of Hilo; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
