Roy Don Baker, 67, of 272 Eagle Drive, Morehead, KY, passed away Sunday July 7, 2013 at his residence. Born September 10, 1945 at Ardmore, Oklahoma, he was the son of the late Oran Boyce and Grace Parr Baker. He was a retired general contractor, former professional rodeo cowboy, former member of the Galt Lodge #267 F.&A.M. in Galt, CA and was a member and deacon with the Farmers Christian Church. Survivors include his wife, Edith Caroline Murdoch Baker, 2 sons, Shaun Baker of Elk Grove, CA and Lance Baker and his wife Elisabeth of Salt Lick, KY, 1 sister, Linda Gayle Smith of Jewell, Iowa and 5 grandchildren, Elisabeth Camille Baker, Ryan Roy Baker, Laura Emalene Baker, Katherine Adelle Baker and Abigail Jean Baker. Funeral arrangements are pending and will be announced later by Powell Funeral Home of Salt Lick, KY. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested in his memory to St. Claire Hospice and Palliative Care, 222 Medical Circle, Morehead, KY 40351.
