Bernice Snavely, 76, of Valley Center, Kansas and formerly of Springdale, died on July 8, 2005. She was born on December 10, 1928 in Springdale to Dallas Seman and Dilla Mae (Watkins) May. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband, Harold Leon Snavely; her sons, Harold Leon Snavely, Jr. of Wichita, Kansas and Mark Alan Snavely of Valley Center, Kansas; her daughters, Duretta Wretberg of Wichita, Kansas and Marsha Colleen Fast of Corpus Christi, Texas; her sisters, Jearlean Perryman and Maxine Schaiff, both of Springdale; her brothers, Dallas Seman May, Jr. and Paul Gaylon May, both of Lowell, and Larry Joe May of Springdale; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held July 12 at Poplar Avenue Church of Christ in Wichita, Kansas. Interment was in Lakeview Cemetery in Wichita. Arrangements were under the direction of DeVorss Flanagan-Hunt Mortuary of Wichita.
