Funeral services for David Spencer were held at 2:30 Thurs at 2nd Baptist church, conducted by Rev. HH Dewitt, Pastor; assisted by Rev. Messrs. Muse, Kirk and Shaw. Church was filled to overflowing. Singing by quartet: Mrs. C.H. Freeman, Mrs. P.F. Dealy, Carl Spencer and Chestine Mason, who sang "Nearer My God", and "Lead Kindly Light", "Safe in the Arms", and "Shall we Gather". Profusion of flowers taken care of by Mrs. Saml McAlister, Mrs. Jas Mathews, Mrs. J.W. Muse, and Mrs. Martha Wilson. Bearers were Jas Mathews, Saml McAlister, Jas Young, Jas Blue, Jacob Davis & Silas Timberlake.
Attending from out of town Mrs. Malinda Smith, Bloomington; Mrs. Ella Rhinehard, Springfield; Tom McDaniel, Arnold Station
