Age 94

husband of Helen E. (Kaufman) Goodman

son of the late Israel and Rose (Levine) Schwartz

Abe was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, and uncle. He was totally dedicated to his two sons and enriched their lives while working with their lifelong special needs.

With his late brother Edward, he owned and operated Goodman's Market and the Imlay Package Store in Hartford.

Abe was a member of the United Synagogues, and then, for many years, the Emanuel Synagogue.

In retirement at SummerWood the past ten years, his hidden talents blossomed, including writing stories and playing in its Bell Orchestra, which performed at the Bushnell. He was a member of its Walking Club, participating in walks in support of Israeli children, and was a past President of the Resident Association.

A kind and loving person, Abe was in turn loved and respected by everyone.
