Funeral services for F.P. Denton, 80, Palestine, father of Mrs. C.D. Frizzell of Athens, were held Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock in Palestine with the Rev. H.E. Floyd officiating.
Burial was in the New Addition Cemetery.
Mr. Denton, a native of Mississippi, was killed Friday in an automobile accident near Sulphur, Louisiana, where he was visiting a daughter.
He had resided in Anderson County for 40 years, a number of years in Palestine.
Surviving are his wife; four sons, Frank Denton and Mike Denton, both of Palestine, and J.O. Denton of Danbury and J.H. Denton of Houston; and four daughters, Mrs. C.D. Frizzell of Athens, Mrs. M.F. O'Malley of Houston, Mrs. L.L. Martine of Sulphur, Louisiana, and Miss Louise Denton of Houston.
