Son of Freel H. L. and Pearle K. (Cornett) Comer.

Services have been set for Friday morning in Brule for Max M. Comer, 72, a resident of Brule the past 60 years.

Mr. Comer died Tuesday, July 16, at Indian Hills Manor.

Mr. Comer was a former member of the Rural Fire Board and also the District 17 Board of Education. He was a member of the Brule Congregational Church of which he had served on the board and other committees. He was a member of the Ogallala Elks Lodge, was a longtime member of the Brule Lions Club and was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge.

He was born April 28, 1911, in Pilger, Neb., and moved with his father as a small boy to Brule.

On March 18, 1933, he married Maude Rumsey in North Platte. They made their home in Brule. Mrs. Comer died in December, 1983.

Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Lee (Mrs. Andrew) Segatti of Denver and Cheryl Kay (Mrs. Jerry) Cleaver of Wray, Colo.; one son, Larry Comer of Elsie; four sisters, Mrs. Dove Johnson of Brule, Ruth (Mrs. Bill) Wondenberg of Buhl, Idaho, Hazel (Mrs. Clarence) Schwartz of Denver, Mary (Mrs. Lavern) Jarosz of Phoenix; one brother, Harold of Green River, Wyo.; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services will be held Friday at the Brule Congregational Church with the Rev. Albert Masser officiating. Burial will be in the Brule Cemetery.

Draucker Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
