Husband of Sandra Charlene (Spath) Comer; son of Merle Max Comer and Laura Maude Rumsey.

Larry graduated from Brule High School, class of 1955. After high school, he went to college at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. During college, he met Sandra Spath at a dance in Ogallala and knew this would be his future wife. They married in Elsie, NE, on November 10, 1957. Larry worked at Brule for Wayne Frates as a hired man. He and Sandra later moved to the farm at Elsie, NE, where they raised their four children. Larry loved farming and working with his neighbors and friends. Larry had served on the school board at Elsie and was also a youth leader for the Methodist Church. Larry & Sandra were married 56 years before Sandra's passing in 2013.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Sandra Segatti and Cheryl Cleaver, and wife Sandra.

Surviving are a son, 3 daughters, ten grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, brother-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. (Names of living deleted)

A service of remembrance will be held at the Elsie United Methodist Church on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment will follow in the Elsie Cemetery. A lunch at the Legion Hall in Elsie will follow.
