Olga P. Voss, 77, formerly of 809 Linden St. Cleveland, a resident of Sunny Ridge Nursing Home, died there Friday, November 18, 1988.
Olga Meggers was born Feb. 7, 1911 in the Town of Wilson, a daughter of the late George and Bertha Wangemann Meggers. She attended county area elementary schools and graduated from Sheboygan Falls High School in 1929 and from Sheboygan County Normal School in 1931.
Olga Meggers married Raymond Voss, Aug. 24, 1940 at Bethel UCC in Ada. He preceded her in death Jan. 6, 1987. She was an elementary school teacher in Sheboygan and Manitowoc Counties over 42 years, retiring in 1974. She was a member of St. Marks UCC, Town of Mosel and of the Sheboygan Area Schools Retirees.
Funeral services for Olga Voss will be held Sunday, Nov. 20, 1988 at 7:30p.m. at the Zimmer Funeral Chapel in Howards Grove. The Rev. Lloyd Fried will officiate. Committal services will be held at St. Johannes Cemetery in Hika Bay, Monday, at 9:30a.m. Friends may call at the Zimmer Funeral Home Sunday from 4 p.m. until the time of services.
Survivors of Olga Voss include two sisters, Mrs. Iola Hoppert, of Town Lyndon and Mrs. Gerhard Dorothy Roethel, of Sheboygan, nieces and a nephew. She was also preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
A memorial fund has been established in the name of Olga Voss to St. Mark’s United Church of Christ.
