Final Rites Held Here Tuesday for Elderly Resident
The Sympathies of the Community Are Extended To Mrs. Margaretha (Margy) Kerr of the Slash Bar K Ranch, whose mother, Mrs. Margaretha T. Moore passed away November 14 at Community Hospital here where she had been a patient for almost three weeks.
Mrs. Moore, widow of the late Herbert H. Moore, had been a resident of Wickenburg since December 1948, when she and Mr. Moore moved here from their home in Chicago. Mr. Moore passed away the following June. Before coming here, Mr. & Mrs. Moore had been regular visitors to Winter Park, Fla.
Talented Pianist
Mrs. Moore, who was born in Hamburg, Germany, in 1878, was a talented concert pianist, and it was while she was on tour in this country that she met Mr. Moore. Mrs. Moore maintained her interest in music long after she became married. She was blessed with a warm, friendly personality and took a keen interest in all the activities of life in this little Western town to which she moved in 1948. Following her husband's death, she made her home with her daughter and Mr. Kerr at the Slash Bar K.
Services At Chapel
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon of this week at 2 o'clock at the Wickenburg Chapel with Dr. Charles S. Poling of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. Pallbearers were R. D. McIntosh, H. K. McLennan, D. S. Snyder, Harold Eckhart, Lewis C. White and William V. Garcia. Burial took place beside her husband in the Wickenburg Cemetery.
Besides the only child, Mrs. Kerr, she is survived by two grandchildren, Donald Kerr Jr. (Sandy) and Karen Kerr. Two surviving sisters live in Germany
