Lucy Jane (Janie) Lindon-Meek was born in Tuscarawas, Ohio. She was the daughter of James Lindon and Jane Ayers. She married Warner Meek on April 19, 1904 and lived in Tuscarawas, Ohio. The couple had three children: Homer R. Meek (1907-1980), Mary A. Meek (1910-1982), and John R. Meek (1913-?). None of the Meek children married. Janie Meek unexpectedly became a single mother at the age of 36 upon the tragic death of her husband due to a ruptured appendix. She lived to be 81 years old.
