Virginia Cockrell Nibbs 90, Indianapolis, passed away on March 16, 2011. She was a member of Mt. Vernon Community Missionary Baptist Church. She worked for Indianapolis Public Schools and Wishard Memorial Hospital and retired in 1983 after 23 years. On Saturday, March 19, there will be visitation from Noon to 2 p.m., with services at 2 p.m. at Stuart Mortuary Chapel. Interment will be at Crown Hill Cemetery. The widow of Robert L. Nibbs, Sr., she is survived by her sons, Robert L. Nibbs, Jr. (Anita L.) and Steven Nibbs (Barbara A.); grandchildren, Tiara R. Nibbs, Robert L. Nibbs III (Trey), Kristen C. Nibbs Dauss (Steven Dauss, Jr.) and Stephany R. Nibbs; great-grandchildren, Steven Dauss III and Kennedi and sister, Florence Roberts. Final arrangements have been entrusted to Stuart Mortuary.
