RITES FOR AARON SHIELDS, TRAFFIC VICTIM, THURSDAY
Masonic funeral services were conducted at 5 o'clock Wednesday afternoon in the Wickenburg Chapel for Aaron Shields 77-year-old victim of a traffic accident on the Phoenix Highway Sunday evening, Sept. 10. Mr. Shields was walking across the highway from his home to Odd's Sombrero when he was struck by an automobile driven by Mrs. Jean W. Claypool of Prescott. He was taken to Wickenburg Community Hospital where he died on Saturday, Sept. 16 Burial was in the Wickenburg Cemetery.
Mr. Shields was born in Seattle, Wash. He came to Wickenburg about four years ago from Phoenix where he had lived for a year. About a year ago he was married to Mrs. Aurora Macias of Wickenburg who survives. Also surviving is a brother, Victor Shields, of Seattle.
