The dirty thirties were active times for the justice system. On June 20, 1930, the electric chair in Atmore, Alabama, did double duty. The state of Alabama was still directed by Governor Graves and as such, saw to the execution of two men guilty of capital murder and robbery in Marengo County.

Jack Brown and Edgar Harris were both executed at Holman Correctional Facility on Alabama's electric chair.
