Mr. Mayes, 71, died Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Rush Foundation Hospital in Meridian.
His survivors include: Loving wife of 50 years, wed on July 19, 1963, Mrs. Margaret Mayes of Conehatta
2 Sons: Kenny Mayes and wife Stephanie of Conehatta & Kevin Mayes of Conehatta
3 Grandchildren: Meaghan Mayes and Vance Mayes both of Conehatta, and Reaghan Mayes Jenkins and husband Corbin of Kosciusko.
1 Brother: Gerald Mayes and wife Arlene of Baton Rouge, LA
2 nephews and 2 great-nephews
Mr. Mayes enjoyed working, especially on John Deere tractors.
He was preceded in death by his parents, S.B. and Chloedelle Mayes.
