Mrs. Addie Annis Slaton, 72, a widow residing on West Raymond street, who died Saturday at 11:30 p.m. was buried today at Sunset Hill cemetery. She had not been ill but a few minutes before her death, which was a severe shock to family and friends.
A son, Edmond Slaton, lived with her at the West Raymond street address, and she was the mother of Cressie Church, Harry Slaton, Mrs. Beatrice Clark and Mrs. Roy McClusky, Harrisburg and Mrs. John (Della) Davis, Raleigh.
The Rev. W. E. Ferrell and the Rev. Delmas Feazel of Raleigh, conducted her funeral which was held at the residence, according to information from the Gibbons funeral home.
