Hoisington- The funeral for Fred D. Asbury. 72, Hoisington, who died Tuesday at Hoisington Lutheran Hospital, was Thursday at the First Christian Church there. Burial was in a Hoisington Cemetery. Mr. Asbury, a retired engineer on the Missouri Pacific Railroad, was born April 28, 1902 at De Kalb, Mo.
He had been a resident of Hoisington since 1924. He was a member of the First Christian Church Hoisington, the Hoisington Masonic Lodge and the Wichita Consistory. Survivors include his widow. Linda, of the home; two daughters; Mrs. Guy Moorefield, Wichita, and Mrs. John Baker, Beatrice. Neb., five brothers, Ernest, Lee and Arthur Asbury, all of Leavenworth, Frank Asbury; Easton, and Woodrow Lakewood, Calif., sister, Opal Fevurly, Easton, and three grandchildren.
