Agnes Tubman nee Eriksen (later spelled Erikson,) and formerly Fountain, was born in August of 1922 in Vestaasen, Norderland, Norway to Ole and Olave (Karen) Eriksen who had 10 children: Magnild, Olga, Emma, Olaf, Olianne, Agnes, Dagny, Ida, Einar, and Magne.

Agnes immigrated with her Parents and Siblings to Canada on March 8th, 1927 leaving Oslo, Norway on a passenger ship bound for Liverpool, England. The crossing of the North Sea was very stormy and treacherous however, after spending one night in Liverpool, England, Agnes and her Family boarded a train for Hull in order to board another passenger ship the next day, the Montrose (the Montrose sank shortly afterwards). At the tender young age of 4, Agnes and her Family arrived in St. John, New Brunswick, Canada on March 28, 1927.

From St. John, NB the Family boarded an Immigrant Train to Domremy, Saskatchewan. After arriving in Domremy, SK, the Family spent the first night in the Domremy Train Station while they waited for Olave's Cousin, John Stensrud, to come fetch the Family.

Shortly afterwards, Agnes' Father Ole bought a quarter of land (40 acres) in the Tiger Hills District of Birch Hills, SK. where he cleared the land to build a log stable for the livestock and a small log house for the Family. Agnes was the only sibling who did not live out her life in Saskatchewan.

Agnes married Stanley Elmer Fountain from Morse, SK. She had one son, Robert Stanley, and one daughter, Linda Rose before her husband Stanley left to fight in WWII.

In the early 70's Agnes married her second husband, Wilmer Tubman of Englehart, Ontario. Wilmer purchased property and a home in Marter Twp just outside of the Town of Englehart for the couple to reside in.

At the time of Anges' passing on January 19, 2004 she was survived by her son Robert (Bob) and her daughter Linda, 3 grandchildren, Christine, Richard, and Daniel, and one great grandchild.
