When Hixie Ann Daws* was born in April 1873 in Marshall, Kentucky, her father, Joel B Daws, was 41 and her mother, Mary Frances Goodin Daws, was 25. She married Thomas Henry Moore on December 29, 1889, in Fulton, Arkansas. They had seven children in 13 years. She died while sick and giving birth to a son (Freddy) 1906 in Camp, Arkansas, at the age of 32. The doctor from Hardy, Arkansas took Freddy but Freddy also died later. Her husband Thomas argued with God over the deaths throwing the family Bible into the fire place burning the only know photo of Hixie Ann. She was buried in a small cemetery near Camp, AR. Her daughter Dona Belle had two identical headstones made for her parents in 1946. The stone for Hixie Ann was removed and placed under a tree by the farmer who owned the field. The exact location is unknown today. RCW 2014
