He was a long-time member of St. Benedict’s Catholic Church, where he was actively involved with the school board. He was First Sergeant at the Brooks School of Aerospace Medicine from ’72 – ’75. After 30 years in the Air Force, he retired, only to start another career – his own agency with Allstate, which lasted for two decades. Mr. Muñoz was an avid golfer and hunter and loved going to the family ranch. Survivors: wife of 51 years, Graciela S. Muñoz; children, Jose A. Muñoz, Jr., Cindy McQuatters, David Muñoz, Patty McCoy, Sandra Padilla and Javier Munoz; 16 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brother, Pablo Muñoz and Tomas Muñoz; sister, Maria Denmeyer; Numerous nieces and nephews.
