Mrs. Sara Bryan "Sally" Allen, 81, of Jefferson, died Thursday, January 17, 2002, at Athens Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.
Mrs. Allen was born October 23, 1920, in Jackson County, a daughter of the late Morris and Mildred Southworth Bryan.
She was a retired librarian with Commerce Middle School and was a member of Jefferson Presbyterian Church.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Monday, January 21, at Jefferson Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Joyce Rife officiating. Burial was in Woodbine Cemetery, Jefferson.
Survivors include two sons, Albert Allen, Snellville, and Bryan Allen, Bathell, Wash.; one daughter, Sara Allen, Jefferson; two sisters, Martha Bryan and Rebekah Bryan, both of Jefferson; one brother, Tom Bryan, Jefferson; and four grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Jefferson Presbyterian Church, The Ark of Jackson County or the Jefferson Public Library.
Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, was in charge of arrangements.
