Mr. Tucker was born Dec. 15, 1923, in Union Grove in Morgan County to Allie B. and Lilly Mae Brooks Tucker.
He was a self-employed barber and a member of Whitesburg Baptist Church in Huntsville. He was also an evangelist. When living at Elmcroft and out of kindness to his fellow residents, he would push people in wheelchairs to meals, make coffee for residents, help employees set tables for meals and throughout his life he enjoyed making people laugh.
He was preceded in death by Nadine Tucker and Marie Lamb Tucker; and a daughter: Brenda Tucker.
The funeral was at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 14, 2013, at Brindlee Mountain Chapel in Morgan City. Burial was in Union Grove Cemetery in Morgan County.
