Ramona "Dolly" Altenburg, 86, of Rockton, Ill., died Thursday, September 5, 2002 in Beloit Memorial Hospital.
She was born Aug. 21, 1916, in Rockford, Ill., daughter of John and Belinda Owens. Ramona married Harold Altenburg on July 19, 1937/ He died in 1960. She later married Chester Peterson on July 23, 1967. He predeceased her.
Ramona was employed by the Wagon Wheel Resort, retiring in 1971.
Survivors include her son, Robert (Judith) Altenburg of Beloit; four grandchildren; two daughters-in-law, Margaret Altenburg of Madison, WI, and Shirley Altenburg of Roscoe; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, three sons, John, Tom and Bill Altenburg, and two grandchildren.
Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2002 in Rockton Cemetery, Rockton, IL, with the Rev. Douglas Schultz officiating. There was no visitation. Daley, Murphy, Wiscch & Associates Funeral Home, 2344 Cranston Road, Beloit WI assisted the family.
