Emma Janette Blue was born in Marathon
Township Lapeer Co. Mich, on May 31st,
1853, and departed this life Sept. 30th,
1927 at Pontiac, Mich. while visiting at
the home of her daughter Mrs. Jesse
Morrison, being 74 years, 4 months of age.
In 1871 she was united in marriage to Wm.
Kelch of Rich Township and together they
settled on the farm which remained their
home until their death. Mr. Kelch's death
occuring March 29th, 1918. To this union
was born 13 children 10 of whom survive
her, 3 having died in infancy. Those
living are: Mrs. George Dorman, of
Manistique, Mich,, Mrs. James McNeil, of
Amy, Mich., Mrs. Jesse Morrison, Mrs.
Winnie Boyl and Mrs. Harry Matas of
Pontiac, Mrs. Charles Bentley and Mrs,
Stanton Bentley of Rich township,
Sheridan Kelch, of Fostoria, Mich.,
Sherman and Cleveland Kelch at home.
She also leaves one brother Win, Blue of
Silverwood, Mich. Mrs, Kelch's death
removes another of the few remaining
Pioneers, She had a cheerful home loving
disposition and will be greatly missed
by her relatives and a host of friends.
