SUCCUMBS WEDNESDAY AFTER SHORT ILLNESS

Robert Neuman, 55, of 421 Graham st., SW., died Wednesday morning at St. Mary's hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Dorr, Sept. 6, 1865, and had resided in Grand Rapids for the past 30 years. He was connected with the Grand Rapids Brewing company for the past 25 years.

Mr. Neuman was prominent in practically all fraternal orders here, being a member of Grand Rapids lodge, No. 48, B.P.O.E., the Eagles, Moose, Germania, Arbeiter and Holy Name societies.

He is survived by his widow and six children. Rev. Robert Neuman, Jr., of Cascade, Edward, Phillip, Henry, Carrie and Emma of Grand Rapids, and a sister, Mrs. Frank Esbough, of Dorr.

Funeral services will be held from St. Joseph's church Saturday morning at 9. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary cemetery.
