I do not know why his surname was spelled differently on his marker than his father, siblings and children. Perhaps it was an engraving error. His wife's marker is also spelled Fendley. All other relative's markers spell the surname as FINDLEY.

Note about James Lester's birth date: James' marker shows he was born 1892. The June 1900 census shows him born July 1890. The 1910 census shows the girls ages correctly but the all the boys are 2 yrs younger than the 1900 census. Apparently James held on to the 2yrs younger, but James was born in 1890.
