The Huntertown native retired in 1979 as manager of Ziebart Car Improvement Specialists after 17 years.
Surviving are his wife, Esther V.; sons Edward A. of Fort Wayne and Ronald W. of Decatur; a stepdaughter, Christie D. Koontz of Fort Wayne; a stepson, Timothy A. Girardot of Fort Polk, La.; his stepmother, Velma Cook of Fort Wayne; sisters, Violet Harter of Auburn, Joyce Diehl of Butler and Mary Petre of Waterloo; a brother, Walter of Fort Wayne; a stepsister, Charlene Jewel of Harlan; stepbrothers, Roger Cook of Spencerville, and Keith Cook of Butler; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services are 11 a.m. tomorrow in D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave., where calling is 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery.
