Mr. Cook, a native of Huntertown, was an employee of Gladieux Refinery Inc. He had resided in Fort Wayne 30 years and was the owner-operator of the Midtown Sunoco Station downtown until a few years ago. He was a veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Eloise; two sons, William and Dennis, both of Fort Wayne; a daughter, Patricia Deventer of Leo; three sisters, Violet Harter and Mary Petre, both of Auburn, and Joyce Diehl of Butler; three half-brothers, Roger Cook of St. Joe, Keith Cook of Auburn and Walter Cook of Fort Wayne; two half-sisters, Charlene Jewell of Harlan and Ila Rose Prosser of Butler; and his stepmother, Velma Cook of Butler.
Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Covington memorial Gardens. Preferred memorials are gifts to the Anthony Wayne First Church of God and the Heart Fund.
