Mary Barnette Ferguson, 60, resident of 1403 Highway 72 West, wife of Dr. Fred Ferguson, died August 8, 2013 at her home.
Born in Greenwood, August 22, 1952, she was a daughter of the late J. Edwin and Barbara Hulsey "Babs" Barnette. Mrs. Ferguson was a graduate of Greenwood High School and Lander University and attended Clemson University. She was the former owner of Temptations Women's Fashion in Greenwood.
Mrs. Ferguson was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Morning Glory Garden Club and former Lander University Foundation Board Member.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two sons, Dee L. Burnett and wife Leanne of Greenwood and William E. "Will" Underwood and wife Jamie of Mt. Pleasant; three grandchildren, Abigail and Edwin Burnette and Marlin Underwood; two stepdaughters, Anne Blaire Ferguson of Greenwood and Elizabeth Brooke Ferguson of Greenville. She was predeceased by a sister, Barbara "Bunny" Barnette.
Funeral services will be conducted 10:30 a.m. Monday from the First Presbyterian Church, with Dr. Charles Moates officiating.
Burial will be in the Barnette Family Farm Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Dr. Asa Hatfield, W.H. "Billy" Nicholson, III, Lawrence Lee Maxwell, II, Frank Workman, Richard Morton Christian, III and John Dixon Langley.
The family is at the home and will receive friends at Blyth Funeral Home from 6 to 8 Sunday evening.
