DELHI - Services for Albert C. Weems Sr., 78, of Delhi were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 30, 1992, in the Westside Baptist Church of Delhi with the Rev. Tony Smith and the Rev. W. W. Lovett, Jr. officiating.

Burial was in the Lone Cherry Cemetery near Mangham under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Delhi.

Mr. Weems died Sunday, June 28, 1992, in the Richland Nursing Home in Delhi following a lengthy illness.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Pearlie Weems of Delhi; one son, Albert C. Weems, Jr., of Delhi; two daughters, Mrs. Annette Blake of Homer and Mrs. Betty Jean Neathery of Arcadia; six brothers, J. O. Shirley and Grady Shirley, both of Winnsboro, C. W. Weems of Sarepta, Luther Weems of Dunn, and Clinton Weems and Lloyd Weems, both of Delhi; four sisters, Mrs. Eunice Linder of Winnsboro, Mrs. Audie Mercer of Mangham, Mrs. Vaudie Upton of Delhi, and Mrs. Myrtle McVay of Bastrop; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Philip Manning, Bruce Weems, Gene Brown, Bill Skipper, Bill Walker, and Ralph Blackwell.
