Mrs. Vaudie Mae Weems Upton was born in Winnfield, LA on July 27, 1924 and left this realm of life on Thursday, February 10, 2022 to gain her heavenly abode.
She was a longtime member of Newton Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, James Leon Upton; her parents Samuel James Weems and Martha Lenora Curry Weems; twelve brothers and sisters, Eula Baum, Grady Shirley, Audry Shirley, Elbert Shirley, Eunice Linder, Audie Mercer, C. W. Weems, Luther Weems, Lloyd Weems, Albert Weems, Myrtle McVay and Clinton Weems; two sons Larry and Jimmy Upton and a granddaughter, Courtney Upton.
Vaudie is survived by a son, Al Upton and wife Carolyn of Hensley, AR.; six grandchildren, Deana Upton Taylor and husband Bobby of Sheridan, AR, Denny Upton and wife Amy of Little Rock, AR, Jason Upton and wife Pam of Los Angeles, CA, Bert Upton and wife Kristie of Springdale, AR, Kyle Upton of Springdale, AR and Kim Malone Fleming and husband Josh; 9 great grandchildren and two daughters-in-law Sharron Upton of Satsuma, AL and Margaret Upton Bissett of Springdale, AR.
