DEATH OF MRS. ADDKINSON - It is our melancholy duty to chronicle the death of Mrs. A(ndrew) J. Addkinson, which occurred (during childbirth) at her residence in West Jackson at an early hour yesterday morning. A devoted husband and five children are thus suddenly bereaved. Mrs. Addkinson was a member of the Presbyterian Church, and was, in all respects, an exemplary christian lady. The internment took place from the residence at 5 o'clock last evening.
The Weekly Clarion, Jackson, MS, August 13, 1879, Page 3.
The City Sexton's Report for August, 1879 shows Mrs. Sarah Addkinson, age 38, from Hinds county, died of child birth, being buried on August 12.
